The Lord Is Not Wishing For Any To Perish

The Lord Is Not Wishing For Any To Perish

Here is the entire Scripture passage:

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Jesus is longing for us, giving us every chance. But sadly, He knows that most will perish. The way is hard that leads to life…
enter by the narrow gate
…and those who find it are few.

Here is the entire Scripture passage:

13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (Matthew 7:13~14)

Our free will includes the freedom to reject Him. When His word says,
The Word of God is foolishness to those who are perishing | Word Blessings

Here is the entire Scripture passage:

For the Word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. But to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18).

Although it breaks His heart, Jesus is aware that most people will be indifferent to His Words. As that attitude of indifference predominates, hell rejoices.
Repentance is not saying for the umpteenth time, “Hmmm… guess I did it again, didn’t I. Hee…hee sorry…”. Repentance is a promise—a genuine determination to draw a line, to be transformed and make Jesus Lord of your whole life. Then, by the power of His Holy Spirit working in you, He gives you strength for victory over sin!
Or perhaps you are already walking in step with God, but you’ve been crying out to Him on behalf of others. Don’t Quit! Though you’ve been praying for a long time, remember that what seems like a long time to us is but a moment to God.

“I won’t give up on You Lord. I don’t want hell rejoicing over any choices I make. I choose to place my life completely into Your hands. As I release my burdens to You, I feel relief, a sense of joy, and peace I had not believed was even possible.”
