Thanksgiving Is Not Just A November Holiday

Thanksgiving ought to be an every-day celebration for a seriously committed Christian!

When the apostle Paul realized who Jesus really was, Paul made a 180–degree turnaround and became the most diligent human Christian of all time!!

So, as we in the United States look forward to celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday, I’d like to show you how thankful Paul was…

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. (Romans 1:8)

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy… (Philippians 1:24)

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, (Colossians 1:3)

… giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (Colossians 3:12)

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (Romans 1:21)

But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, (Romans 6:17)

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. (Romans 7:25)

The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. (Romans 14:6)

… who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well. (Romans 16:4)

…I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus … (1 Corinthians 1:4)

If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that for which I give thanks? (1 Corinthians 10:30)

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:15)

But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same earnest care I have for you. (2 Corinthians :16)

You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. (2 Corinthians 9:11)

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. (2 Corinthians 9:12)

Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, (Ephesians 1:16)

Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. (Ephesians 5:4)

giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ… (Ephesians 5:20)

thank my God in all my remembrance of you… (Philippians 1:3)

…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you … (Colossians 1:3)

…giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (Colossians 1:12)

…rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:7)

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (Colossians 3:15)

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17)

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2)

We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers … (1 Thessalonians 1:2)

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. ( 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. (2 Thessalonians 1:3)

… But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:13)

thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, (1 Timothy 1:12)

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people (1 Timothy 2:1)

thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. (2 Timothy 1:3)

thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers… Philemon 1:4)

Hey, I’ve got an idea…

I think we ought to crown Paul as the Grand Champion of those who are being thankful to God!!
